Responsible gambling: stay in control on your phone
A casino in your pocket never closes. These tools help keep gambling fun, and free help is a phone call away if it isn't.
Gambling is for adults only. You must be 18 or over to play at Fair Go, and to use the links on this site.
Warning signs to take seriously
- Chasing losses, or depositing again to win back what's gone.
- Spending more than you planned, or borrowing to keep playing.
- Hiding how much you play from people close to you.
- Playing to escape stress, boredom or low moods.
- Late-night sessions cutting into sleep, work or family time.
- Feeling restless or irritable when you try to stop.
If any of these sound familiar, talk to someone now rather than later. The services above are free and don't judge.
Limit tools your phone already has
- iPhone Screen Time. In Settings, Screen Time can put time limits on Safari or on specific websites, locked with a passcode that someone you trust holds.
- Android Digital Wellbeing. In Settings, Digital Wellbeing and parental controls can set a daily timer for Chrome or any other browser.
- Bank gambling blocks. Many Australian banks let you block gambling transactions on your card from inside their app. Look in your card settings.
- Remove the shortcut. Out of sight helps. Press and hold the Fair Go icon on your home screen to delete it, and clear the bookmark too.
Ask the casino about limits
Before you deposit, ask Fair Go's support which deposit limits, cool-off periods or self-exclusion options apply to your account. We haven't verified which tools Fair Go offers, so get the answer in writing through live chat or email.
BetStop and offshore casinos
BetStop, the national self-exclusion register, covers licensed Australian online and phone wagering providers. It does not cover offshore casinos such as Fair Go, so the blocks on your phone and with your bank matter more. You can still register at betstop.gov.au to cover licensed betting.
What we do
We show an 18+ notice and help lines on every page, we never use countdown timers or fake scarcity, and we won't help anyone get around a block or a limit they've set. Gambling should be entertainment you can afford, never a way to make money.
