Fair Go Casino on iPad and Android Tablets

Fair Go casino on iPad or an Android tablet gives the pokies and table games room to breathe. Here's how tablets differ from phones, how to fix a layout that looks wrong, and how to keep a shared family tablet locked down.

A tablet runs the same Fair Go website as your phone and laptop. Fair Go describes its casino as browser-based on iOS and Android with no app required, and one account works everywhere. What changes is the layout: depending on the tablet and browser, you may get the desktop version, the mobile version or something in between, and that affects how the lobby, cashier and games fit the screen.

Fair Go casino on iPad: what's different

Since iPadOS 13, Safari on iPad presents itself to websites as a desktop browser, so Fair Go will usually serve the layout you'd see on a Mac. On a big iPad that's ideal. On an iPad mini held upright, buttons can feel small.

  • Switch layouts: open the page menu at the left of the address bar and choose Request Mobile Website. Choose Request Desktop Website to switch back.
  • Home-screen icon: Share is at the top right on iPad, then Add to Home Screen. Full steps are in our home-screen guide.
  • Passwords and Apple Pay: both work as they do on iPhone, with Touch ID or Face ID depending on the model. Apple Pay needs a card in Wallet on the iPad itself.
  • Rotation: if games won't turn sideways, check the rotation lock in Control Centre.

Most of our iPhone tips, from Safari's cookie settings to Screen Time, apply to iPad as well.

Android tablets: Galaxy Tab, Lenovo and others

Chrome on larger Android tablets may also ask for desktop sites by default. If Fair Go looks like a stretched phone layout or a cramped desktop one, open Chrome's menu and toggle Desktop site to compare, then keep whichever suits. Samsung tablets add Samsung Internet, multi-window and, on some models, DeX, which turns the tablet into a desktop-style workspace with resizable windows.

Home-screen icons work exactly as they do on a phone; see our Android home-screen guide.

Amazon Fire tablets

Fire tablets run Amazon's own version of Android, with the Silk browser and the Amazon Appstore instead of Google Play. There's no Fair Go app in Amazon's store either, so use Silk and bookmark the address you typed. Google's apps don't come on Fire tablets, so don't plan on Google Pay there; Fair Go's banking page lists cards, Neosurf vouchers and crypto as alternatives. And don't sideload anything that claims to be a Fair Go app for Fire.

Split screen: terms on one side, game on the other

Tablets let you do something phones can't: keep two things open side by side. A few good uses:

  • Promotion terms beside the cashier. Read the wagering, minimum deposit and eligible games while you enter the code, instead of flicking between tabs.
  • A session timer beside the game. Keep the Clock app's timer in view so you can see how long you've been playing.
  • This guide beside the site. Handy the first time you set up a home-screen icon or photograph your ID for verification.

On iPad, open the multitasking controls at the top of an app window to use Split View or Stage Manager; the exact controls vary by iPadOS version. On Samsung tablets, open recent apps, tap an app's icon and choose split-screen view.

Shared and family tablets

Tablets are often household devices, which makes them the easiest way for someone else to stumble into your casino account. Fair Go is strictly 18+, and keeping it that way on a shared device is the account holder's job.

  1. Don't save your Fair Go password on a shared tablet, and log out when you finish.
  2. Use separate profiles where you can. Many Android tablets support multiple users, each with their own browser and saved logins.
  3. Lock it down for children. Screen Time on iPad and Google Family Link on Android let parents restrict browsing and adult content on a child's device or account.
  4. Remove the home-screen icon from any tablet children use, and clear the casino's address from the browser history.
  5. Use Guided Access on iPad when you hand it over for one app; it keeps the user inside that app until you enter a passcode.

Which screen suits which game

Fair Go's lobby isn't only pokies. It lists table games such as blackjack, roulette and baccarat, video poker you can play across several hands at once, and specialty games like keno. On a phone, pokies are the most comfortable fit because they're built around one big spin button; our mobile pokies guide covers those. Table games and multi-hand video poker gain the most from a tablet, with room for the betting layout, your cards and the dealer's hand without zooming.

Tablet FAQ

Does Fair Go work on iPad?

Yes. Fair Go says its casino is browser-based on iOS with no app required. Open it in Safari and add a home-screen icon if you like.

Why does Fair Go look like the desktop site on my iPad?

Safari on iPad requests desktop websites by default. Use the page menu in the address bar to request the mobile site instead.

Can I use the same account on my tablet and my phone?

Yes. It's one Fair Go account with one balance, whichever device you sign in on.

Is there a Fair Go app for Amazon Fire tablets?

No. Use the Silk browser and bookmark the address you typed. Avoid any file offering a Fire or Android version of Fair Go.

How do I stop my children using Fair Go on our tablet?

Don't save your login, log out after each session, remove the icon, and use Screen Time or Google Family Link to restrict browsing on their device or profile.

Are table games better on a tablet?

Usually. The extra space shows the full betting layout, which makes table games and multi-hand video poker easier to follow than on a phone.
