How to Add Fair Go to Your iPhone Home Screen
Want an icon that opens Fair Go in one tap? Here's how to add Fair Go to your iPhone home screen with Safari or another browser, what the Open as Web App switch does, and how to fix it when the option seems to be missing.
Open Fair Go, then add the icon

A home-screen icon is the closest thing to a Fair Go app on iPhone, and arguably better than one: it takes almost no storage, never needs updating and always opens the address you saved. Fair Go says its casino is browser-based on iOS with no app required, so this is how you get the app feel. It works on any recent iPhone, and on iPad with one small difference noted below.
Add Fair Go to your iPhone home screen in Safari
-
Step 1
Open Fair Go in Safari
Type fairgocasino.com into Safari's address bar yourself and check the padlock. The icon will open whatever page you're on now, so make sure it's the real site.
-
Step 2
Tap Share, then Add to Home Screen
Share is the square with an upward arrow. Scroll down the list of actions and tap Add to Home Screen.
-
Step 3
Name it and tap Add
Keep the name short, such as Fair Go, so it fits under the icon. Check the address shown, then tap Add.
-
Step 4
Tap the icon to play
The icon lands on your home screen. Tap it and Fair Go opens straight to the site, ready for you to log in; our login guide helps if signing in fails.
Can't find Add to Home Screen?
No Share button?
With Safari's compact layout, Share can hide behind the ••• button next to the address. Tap that, then Share. On iPad, Share sits at the top right of the screen.
Not in the list?
Scroll right to the bottom of the share sheet. Still missing? Tap Edit Actions and add Add to Home Screen to your favourites so it stays near the top.
Greyed out or nothing happens?
Wait until the page has fully loaded, and make sure you're on an ordinary web page, not a PDF or a preview.
Opened from another app?
Links from Instagram, Gmail or a chat app open in that app's built-in viewer, which may not offer Add to Home Screen. Open the page in Safari first.
Open as Web App: on or off?
Recent iOS versions show an Open as Web App switch on the Add to Home Screen screen. Either setting works for Fair Go, but they behave differently:
| Switch on | Switch off | |
|---|---|---|
| How it opens | In its own window, without Safari's address bar | As a normal Safari tab |
| Your login | Kept separately from Safari, so you sign in once inside it | Shared with Safari |
| Checking the address | No address bar on screen | Address bar always visible |
| Best for | A full-screen, app-like feel | Seeing exactly where you are |
Either way, AutoFill and Face ID still fill your saved password. On older iOS versions without the switch, the site itself decides which way the icon opens.
Using Chrome, Edge or Firefox on iPhone
Since iOS 16.4, other browsers can add sites to your home screen too. In Chrome, tap the Share button in the address bar and choose Add to Home Screen; Edge and Firefox put the same option in their Share menus. The icon then opens in the browser that created it, along with that browser's saved passwords. If you mostly use Safari, make the icon from Safari so your login lives in one place. More iPhone-wide tips are in our Fair Go on iPhone guide.
Rename, move, hide or remove the icon
- Move it: touch and hold the icon, tap Edit Home Screen, then drag it where you like or into a folder.
- Rename it: home-screen web icons can't be renamed in place, so delete it and add it again with the new name.
- Hide it: put it on its own home-screen page and hide that page, or tuck it into a folder away from your first screen.
- Remove it: touch and hold, then choose the delete option (iOS may call it Delete Bookmark). It removes only the shortcut, not your Fair Go account or balance.
Keep your shortcut safe
An icon is only as trustworthy as the page you saved. If you created it from a link in a text, email or social post, delete it and make a new one from an address you typed. Then let it do its job: next time someone sends you a “new Fair Go link”, ignore it and use your icon. Our guide to phishing login pages explains why lookalike sites are the main risk for Aussie players, and Screen Time limits can cap how long the site opens each day if you'd like a nudge to stop.
iPhone home-screen FAQ
Is the home-screen icon the same as a Fair Go app?
It's the closest thing. Fair Go says no app is required on iOS, and the icon opens its mobile site in one tap with nothing to install or update.
Why do I have to log in again after adding the icon?
With Open as Web App switched on, the icon keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari. Log in once inside it and it will remember you.
Does this work on iPad?
Yes. The steps are the same, except Safari's Share button sits at the top right of the screen.
Will the icon update when Fair Go changes its site?
Yes. It's a shortcut to the live site, so you always get the current version.
I can't see Add to Home Screen. What now?
Check you're in Safari rather than an in-app viewer, scroll to the bottom of the share sheet, and use Edit Actions to pin the option near the top.
Does deleting the icon close my Fair Go account?
No. It only removes the shortcut. Your account and balance stay with Fair Go.
